Job Overview:Responsibilities:Full-Project Involvement:Engage in every stage of the project, from design and prototyping to mass production and sustainingDesign Feedback:Review designs and provide feedback on manufacturability to ensure smooth production transitionsContract Manufacturer (CM) Collaboration: Work closely with CMs to establish build readiness, including designing, reviewing, and implementing production fixturesManaging BOMs and PLM systemsServe as the primary technical point of contact for CMs to drive project progressInvestigate and root-cause problems, driving fixes back to engineering teams or CMsProcess Improvement: Learn from past projects and proactively refine manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality across all projectsRequirements:5+ years of experiencein Manufacturing Product, Process, or NPI Engineering within networking equipment manufacturing environmentsStrong expertisein DFx principles (DFM, DFA, DFT, DFQ, DFR), production fixturing, inspection processes, manufacturing quality control, ECO, BOM, and deviation processes (Agile experience is a plus)Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, such as SMT profiles, CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal production, coating technologies, finishing operations, packaging materials, and processesAbility to investigate and evaluate new technologies, setting technical direction to stay ahead of industry advancementsProficiency in using lab equipment and tools for troubleshooting and validationWillingness to travelas needed to support global manufacturing operations
