We have a passionate management team and committed investors who believe in our patented technology and overall mission to profoundly advance biomedical research and accelerate the discovery of life-saving treatments.Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Instrument Integration Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in our product development lifecycle, contributing to the successful build, integration, and testing of our Pyxaâ„¢ spatial biology platform. Responsibilities: Integrate and rigorously test complex opto-mechanical instrumentation to ensure compliance with system specificationsCollaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to design, develop, and refine automated testing processes for system design verification.Contribute to the creation, revision, and maintenance of assembly and alignment work instructionsMaintain accurate and comprehensive device history records (DHR), documenting all test results, modifications, and critical actions throughout the product lifecycle.Support engineering builds and system validation activities, ensuring smooth transitions from R&D to manufacturing and field. Design and execute experiments to adapt to evolving product requirementsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, biomedical or systems engineering with at least 2 years of experience in a hardware integration or testing role.Experience with complex opto-mechanical systems and testing in a laboratory or R&D environment. Experience with fluidic or thermal systems is a bonus.Excellent documentation and communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration and testing issues efficientlyAbility to work effectively in a collaborative environment with internal teams and external partnersPreferred Skills:Experience in high-throughput sequencing or other biotechnology instrumentationExperience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers to oversee production processes.Understanding of quality control and validation processes for medical or laboratory instrumentationCompensation:An attractive compensation and benefits package based on market pay data will be commensurate with candidate skills, qualifications, and experience.If you are interested in becoming part of a growing team energized by limitless possibilities, please submit your resume for consideration.
