This position is NOT A FULLY REMOTE ROLE; requires three (3) days in office.Primary Tasks and ResponsibilitiesPlans and carries out new product launches in coordination with various groups such as Suppliers, Marketing, Engineering, Sales and other key stakeholders.Ensures effective communication and adherence to timelines for the development of technical products, aligning with company goals and customer objectives.Owns the Life Cycle Management of Ceiling Fan and Landscape products, including creating product plans and design briefs.Provides regular and ad-hoc reports and analysis to support product management initiatives.Suggests product enhancements to improve user experience.Conducts competitive research, analyzing the data to identify customer needs and market opportunities. Recommend strategies to improve market position.Develops technical product training and training related reference materials for internal stakeholders.Assist in training sales team, customer service, and external customers through the use of video and in person presentations as needed.Collaborates with marketing to create literature and support materials for both internal and external audiences.Provides Supply Chain/Operations with forecasts for new product releases.Establishes and maintains key relationships with vendors to help facilitate the timely completion of projects and/or new products.Works with the Data team to maintain up to date specs and product content.May assist with the assembly and installation of technical product related samples.Other duties as assigned.Special Requirements: May travel to trade show(s) and/or product setup events (up to two (2) weeks per year).Level and Type of Education RequiredBachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field required.Solid understanding of lighting and/or ceiling fan industry preferred, however other industry experience such as home decor will be considered.Related Work Experience Required5+ years' experience as Product Manager required (if less than 5 years, prior project management and/or marketing work experience may be considered).5+ years' of working with technical product (electronics, mechanical knowledge, etc.).Necessary Specialized Training, Knowledge, Skill and AbilitiesExperienced in researching similar markets, consumers' behavior, and marketing techniques and using data analysis to gain business intelligence to empower product decision-making and process/product improvements.Prior ERP experience preferred.Prior PLM experience preferred.Experience preparing and delivering clear, concise, professional presentations.Self-motivated with a proven record of success working in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with suppliers, customers and sales repsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.Work Environment and Physical RequirementsThe following descriptions are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
