About Us: At Wise Pelican, we are dedicated to achieving excellence in every facet of our operations.Wise Pelican provides direct mail services, primarily to real estate agents, through our robust web application that allows end-users to build end-to-end direct mail campaigns.We are seeking a dynamic Head of Operations to fill the role of an Integrator, bridging the gap between our company's strategic ambitions and operational excellence.Job Description: As the Head of Operations and our Integrator, you will be the super communicator and collaborator at the heart of our operations. Your role will be to connect the company's strategic vision with the day-to-day operational execution. This includes working closely with the Visionary to ensure that the company's goals are effectively realized across all operational activities. You will lead with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to excellence, fostering an environment where timelines are respected and communication is clear.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Vision and Execution: Partner with the Visionary to define company goals, then lead the execution across all business functions including HR, finance, sales, marketing, product / software development, and operations.Leadership and Team Management: As a people person who has previously run businesses, you will lead, manage, and hold the leadership team accountable. You're prepared to handle hiring, swiftly correct hiring mistakes, and ensure your team aligns with our company's values and goals.Process and People Optimization: Your organizational skills set you apart. You delegate effectively, recognizing when new roles are needed and filling them promptly. You're committed to training, managing, and empowering your team to achieve their best.Performance and Conflict Management: Oversee operational performance by establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs). Act as a mediator in disputes, ensuring all team issues are addressed and resolved efficiently.Resource and Time Management: Manage resources judiciously and maintain rigorous timelines for project completions. When adjustments are necessary, you promptly communicate changes to all stakeholders.Ownership and Accountability: Embrace extreme ownership, understanding that the ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the business rests with you. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are ready to tackle any challenges.Day to Day Operations: This role will be replacing the CEO in all aspects of the day-to-day operations. Wise Pelican, while having a fairly simple product, is a highly automated and, for many, complex company. This position involves jumping in and rolling up sleeves where necessary oftentimes inside of complex HubSpot workflows that involve custom code.Reporting: Generating executive level reports from data in HubSpot and other systems. You will be generating reports in HubSpot and other systems to seek answers to your questions and the questions of others.Systems: You will be the ultimate owner of all systems. While we have a robust development team to assist with complex technical needs, you will be your own first line of defense.Qualifications:Proven experience in a $10m to $30m annual revenue company as an Integrator, COO, or similar managerial role, ideally within a company utilizing the EOS framework.Demonstrated leadership ability in high-stakes environments; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent knowledge of systems automationStrong financial acumen with proven experience in managing P&Ls and delivering on KPIs.Experience in HR management, including hiring, training, and performance management.Understanding of the software development lifecycle and comfortability running an organization where software development is a major piece of the organizationMaster of HubSpot including a deep understanding of HubSpot workflows. This facility will house Wise Pelican production and offices, the real estate group owned by the founder of Wise Pelican, and provide co-working space for other small businesses.At the present time most of our roles are filled around the world. While we love the staff that has grown with us and will retain them, our intent is to hire locally going forward and create an amazing office culture. We are indeed moving away from a remote model to an in-office model.A large part of your role in the early stages will involve recruiting local talent that want to be part of a fun office culture.
