Miracle Mile Advisors (MMA) is seeking an experienced, best-in-class Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead, manage, and oversee the firm's financial functioning, reporting, and expansion in its next stage of growth. The right candidate will drive and integrate the expanding financial function of the firm by consolidating reporting processes, building a repeatable financial approach for acquisitions - including pricing, due diligence and financial integration, own and execute the firm's external financing needs, and manage the real estate/geographic expansion elements of the business including space evaluation, lease negotiations, and buildout projects to budget. The role is based in our new office in Seattle, WA or our Los Angeles, CA office.This role will be charged with transforming the firm's business trajectory toward greater scalable expansion and operational efficiency. The right candidate will partner with the existing Leadership Team to deliver innovative and strategic stewardship to drive and widen the firm's market penetration through both organic and inorganic activities.The CFO will be charged with supporting strategic growth opportunities (including M&A), scalability, and identifying other transformative initiatives. The role will help establish guidelines and provide clear metrics, cost controls, and risk mitigation surrounding any strategy or transaction and its impact to the firm as well as helping to better assess departmental & product profitability. This individual will maintain and enhance internal controls and exercise strong governance and solid financial reporting structures while minimizing managed risk and increasing revenues. A mastery of data and analytics to drive business values will also be integral to success in this role.The successful individual must have the capacity and demonstrated experience to deliver high-value counsel to, and report before, the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and the Board as required. In addition, she/he will also maintain a high degree of public visibility, representing the firm's differentiating value-proposition, compelling opportunities, and culture of excellence.Job ResponsibilitiesThis role will be accountable to the CEO; regarding the Finance Function the role is responsible for:Financial Reporting Oversight of the company's fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing working with the CEO, senior stakeholders and other executives.Management of the firm's financial talent/resources, which currently include both internal and external resources.Evaluation of financial technology to ensure the firm has the appropriate tools to achieve efficiency and scale.Directly linked with Financial Reporting and Accounting, this individual would be expected to manage financial controls, largely coordinating and managing third party vendors.Manage the comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes, which report both full firm results and run rate results.Partner with the Technology & Data teams to build a recurring set of dashboards measuring performance to key metrics to educate and inform the Board & senior leadership.Manage external auditor and reporting relationships to ensure a culture of accounting integrity and accuracy.M&AParticipate in all aspects of significant evaluation tied to a potential acquisition firm, including:Evaluation of the acquisition firm's financialsCreation of proposed valuation and bidding termsFinancial due diligence associated with firms that achieve exclusivityNegotiation and documentation of key decisions/agreementsFinancial integration of closed targetsCost ManagementPartner with the CEO to understand and achieve targeted EBITDA margins in line with the firms 3-year goals via consciously implemented scale and efficiency.Monitor and manage costs, which are predominantly tied to compensation & technology for the wealth management business.Evaluate and implement geographic opportunities to reduce labor costs.Fundraising and Capital ManagementPartner with the CEO & private equity partner, Corsair, to successfully achieve the firm's financing needs, predominantly tied to expansion and acquisitions.Manage and oversee the ongoing credit agreement compliance and financial reporting requirements and facilitate lender due diligence on M&A opportunities.Partner with the CEO & Corsair to achieve any Board-directed equity capital raising activities.Build and a drive a culture of value awareness & appreciation throughout our equity participant-heavy population (~50% of employees have meaningful equity).Participate materially in any efforts towards a future majority owner transaction/exit.Accounting & ExecutionManage the core accounting functions and process in a scalable and efficient manner, including Billing, accounts payable, and employee expenses/reimbursements.Real Estate / Facilities Own the firms major initiatives tied to real estate and facilities as we continuously expand and add geographies. Specific expectations include:Awareness of current leases & critical terms.Evaluation of new space, considering both client and budgetary factors.Lease and landlord negotiation.Creation and management of an office buildouts to ensure desired quality and achieve budget.Education/ExperienceMinimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in a senior financial management position.Experience establishing and executing a vision and resulting business plan for the continuous development and growth of a business.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant degree from a top undergraduate program. MBA or Master's degree a plus.Proven leadership and effective management skills of integrating and advancing a growing functional staff.Proven ability of establishing and managing an effective financial business function with the appropriate risk controls, methodologies, and reporting processes.CompetenciesPossess ability to equally think strategically and execute tactically. This position requires a strategic mindset, market understanding with the business acuity and foresight to conceptualize new processes in order to scale the company, as well as M&A strategies and approaches of win.Strong interpersonal skills, comfort with and execution of "radical candor" in communication, executive gravitas, and an innate ability to build immediate rapport and influence colleagues, executive leaders, Board of Directors, auditors, and other stakeholders.Collaborative and team-oriented; ability to close gab between front and mid-to-back-office functions.Analytically oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to map and track metrics to measure effectiveness of Advisory/mid-to-back-office Operations, and Human Capital from a synergistic standpoint.Maintain a compliance environment with the necessary policies, procedures, and controls to adhere to all regulatory requirements while effectively reducing costs and risk.Excellent problem-solving skills; innovative, analytical, adaptive, and critical thinker with the ability to anticipate problems, remove obstacles, execute, and deliver solutions.Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
