The Commercialization Manager serves commercializing business strategies to sales with excellence and support sales execution with customers. This role translates larger BU objectives into strategic, channel specific strategies. The Commercialization Manager will work closely with cross functional partners such as marketing, supply, finance to align business objectives and develop customer-centric strategies to implement them with sales across channels. For their and their teams area of responsibility, this position is also responsible for deploying clear distribution objectives across sales channel and provide the necessary support to achieve them with our sales teams and customers. This is a hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days per week onsite in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for: Translate Business Unit objectives and strategies into sales and channel specific strategies and objectivesOwn the customer planning process and oversee the development of plan creation (e.g., guidance provided by finance, input from the BU based on priorities, sales creating customer-specific plans, etc.)Set clear and specific executional (assortment, merchandising, pricing and shelving) objectives for channel and communicate objectives to sales team/customer planning using insights from RGM and the marketing center of excellenceEnsure that channel specific strategies and innovations are being developed by the BUs (e.g., Natural specific SKUs, etc.)Work across brands to develop best in-class GTM strategies for new launches within these channelsTrack plan execution and make sure all programs are falling within the plan guidelinesLead Supply Chain initiativesWork with supply and procurement team to deliver best possible outcome when faced with supply challengesThink strategically on how we can still land our objectives while managing through supply challengesHave clear and consistent communication to the field that allows the field to action whatever is necessaryStrong analytic and strategic mindset, to problem solve and prioritize where neededLead commercialization of new product development, channel specific launch strategies, and communications to fieldHelp shape innovation pipeline by providing relevant insights into the process for these channels, given their special needs, especially for product design and packaging designProvide sales input into the marketing/innovation team regarding product development (e.g., pricing, pack size, etc.) - maintain cross-channel view for new product and brand launchesBuild new product launch plan (i.e., sell deck) - to articulate where we are going first with new products, right pricing, ship dates, etc.Translate brand and category driven innovation initiatives into clear and executable priorities across nuanced channels.Represent the priorities of both the business and SalesAct as a liaison between Sales, Brand Marketing and other staff functions to ensure that customer execution is in line with strategic brand and category objectivesRepresent customer and sales voice in internal, cross-functional meetingsDevelop future talent of the organizationThis position has a direct report, the development of our talent is a top priority at Horizon Organic and the Commercialization Manager would be responsible for the full scope of the team, managing, coaching and providing the associate manager the conditions for success.The base compensation range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience.About You: 4-year college degree in Business or related field7+ years previous experience in sales, ideally CPG industry and blend of field and commercial sales Prior experience managing data, relationships with retailer partners, and marketing knowledge Excellent planning and organizational skills, including superior communication skills (written and verbal)
