Job Description- In Vivo ScientistResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our In Vivo Sciences team within the Communicable Diseases Unit. The successful candidate will support our in vivo pharmacology studies under limited management supervision. Applicant must have experience working in a laboratory environment and be comfortable working in a BSL2+ setting. The ideal applicant would possess general in vitro skills as well as basic animal handling experience (ie. handling, bleeding, dosing). Key responsibilities would include but are not limited to:Study planning and execution including the preparation of vaccine run sheets.Utilize SharePoint, electronic laboratory notebook (eLN), and inventory management systems to efficiently and compliantly manage data.Analyze, interpret, and document study results; contribute to report writing and reviewPreform internal quality control on peer eLN entriesShip study material internationally according to foreign and local trade complianceMaintaining relationships with cross-functional teamsQualificationsBS/BA in microbiology, immunology, biology or animal science with 5-7 years of experience required, preferably in a pharmaceutical industry setting, M.S 3-5, Ph.D. 0-3.Experience working in a vivarium; small and large animal handling required.In vitro laboratory skills including biosafety, aseptic technique, and pipetting required. Proficient computer skills including the use of Outlook, Microsoft Office programs, GraphPad Prism, and electronic notebook platforms.Proven track record of managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks appropriately.Excellent communication (oral and written) and a keen attention to detail.Ability to follow directions, learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and keep accurate records.Works well in a team environment but has the ability to execute key responsibilities independently.
