Electrical JourneymanCaliforniaABOUT THE COMPANYOur Client is a leading provider of Electric Vehicle infrastructure engineering and construction services, primarily to commercial operators. Founded in 2012, the Company is focused on the design, engineering, construction, installation, and maintenance of level 2 and level 3 high power fast-charging stations, which typically serve a variety of clients including EVSPs, utilities, fleet owners, Auto and Charging OEMs. POSITION OVERVIEWHiring for both NorCal and SoCal areas!Skilled and Trained Certified General Electrician for the role of Electrical STW Journeyman. Must have graduated from a DIR recognized apprenticeship with current General Electrician License. Electrical STW Journeyman will safely deliver electrical services in the field of renewable energy, specifically electric vehicle charging stations and energy storage systems. Must deliver high quality, consistent and competent work in electrical construction in accordance with project / company requirements, standards, and procedures. Including, but not limited to full system installation, commissioning, maintenance, system performance evaluation and troubleshooting.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following responsibilities are not limited to:Dependable and able to support the delivery of company goals and schedule.Ability to make a thorough accurate tool / materials list for the project at hand.Must ensure that all work scope is completed in a safe manner, follow direction, and ensure no detrimental impact to personnel or environment.Must be adaptive to performing and crafting other trade work to support electrical work installation.Review project plans, specifications & installation instructions to ensure that the project is built according to the approved design and specifications and assist the Foreman.Advanced skills bending all sizes of conduit including EMT, IMC, and rigid conduit.Use hand, mechanical and electric benders.Perform all different types of bends (offsets, saddles, 90s) in an accurate and timely manner.Underground work that includes PVC installationsUse heat blankets and hot boxes for PVC installations.Conduct site safety assessments and identify all safety hazards on jobsite, lead daily safety meetings, properly fill out JHA & LOTO documentation.Ensures Construction Daily Reports are submitted for assigned projectsMust be able to react and remedy production related issues as they arise in the fieldCommunicate with internal and external customers as requiredAdditionally, a strong understanding of the fundamentals of electricity and sound troubleshooting skills are required.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSGeneral Electrician license in the state of California or ET CardMust have graduated from a DIR recognized apprenticeshipStrong knowledge of National Electric CodeCommitment to safetyCommercial electrical experienceExperience using wire/cable tugger, hydraulic bender, conduit threading machine and exothermic welding devicesExperience working with power utilitiesExperience with installation of main service boards, transformers, and load centersOSHA 10 training preferredNFPA CESC preferredProper knowledge of working in and around areas with "live" circuitsValid driver's license and clean driving recordHave personal reliable transportationHigh School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent training.Flexibility to work different site locations and shifts as neededReliable, punctual, productive, and mechanically inclinedAbility to communicate effectively with team membersAdapt and comply with Company/Client requirementsWork with and interact with other disciplinesAbility to take initiativeResourcefulness to complete all assigned tasksAbility to work in a multi-cultural environmentDesire to learn and develop within roleWork EnvironmentJob requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snow.Perform work at various heights up to 50', working from ladders, bucket trucks, scaffolding, catwalks, aerial lifts, or other safe working platforms.Work in restricted areas like trenches or switchgear rooms and infrequently like manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attic spaces, etc.Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), always including a hard hat and safety glasses. Each job site may be different and must be accessed individually.Repetitive use of legs, arms, hands, and fingersAble to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, overtime and night shifts as required.Physical RequirementsMust be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.Lift 51 pounds.Constantly moving on your feet, all day long.Climb ladders of all types.Complete overhead work for full day's assignments.Maintain good vision (natural or corrected)Upon acceptance of the offer, candidates must be able to successfully complete background check and Drug Screening and can maintain continuous coverage on company auto insurance plans.Job Type: Full-timePay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceCompensation Package:Hourly payOvertime paySchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekends as needed
