Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results and exceeding client expectations with diverse strengths and perspectives.Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer II with a focus on Protection & Controls to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing protection and control systems for electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution networks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical protection systems, relays, and substation equipment for protection and system reliability.Key Responsibilities: Design and Development:Develop and design protection schemes for electrical systems.Specify and design control panels and protection schemes for substations. System Studies & Analysis:Perform power system analysis and fault studies using specialized software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, or similar tools).Conduct load flow, short circuit, and coordination studies for protection system development and optimization. Troubleshooting & Support:Offer technical support for both internal teams and external clients. Collaboration:Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure the safe and efficient design of electrical systems.Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers for equipment specifications and troubleshooting.Qualifications: Education:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field. Experience:Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the design, development, and operation of protection and control systems for electrical power networks.Experience in relay settings, coordination and protection system design. Technical Skills:Proficiency in protection and control system software (ETAP, SKM, MATLAB, etc.).Solid understanding of electrical power systems within a substation.Familiarity with IEC standards, IEEE guidelines, and NERC compliance. Certifications:Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Additional certifications in protection systems or power system analysis are a plus.
