Our client, a prominent law firm based in Irvine, CA is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team!Responsibilities:Document Organization: Manage, organize, and review litigation documents, such as pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.Docketing & Calendar Management: Provide docketing and calendar support for the firm's litigation practices, ensuring important deadlines and tasks are tracked.E-Discovery Assistance: Support the collection, processing, and review of electronically stored information (ESI) using industry-standard tools and software.Database Maintenance: Oversee and update litigation databases, ensuring that case information is accurate and securely stored.Legal Research: Conduct legal research and provide summarized findings to aid attorneys in developing case strategies.Training & Support: Train staff and end users on effective document management and database usage.Reporting: Prepare and deliver status updates and case summaries for attorneys, emphasizing key developments and upcoming deadlines.Trial Support: Assist attorneys with trial preparation by creating exhibit lists and organizing trial binders.Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Legal Studies, Business, or Information Technology, is required.Proficient in using digital tools and technologies.Strong skills in quantitative analysis and logical reasoning.Comfortable navigating and working with complex databases.Must have excellent technical abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.At least 1-3 years of experience in a law firm, specifically in litigation support, eDiscovery, or related fields.Skilled in legal software (e.g., CSDisco, Microsoft Suite) and Outlook.Familiarity with CS Disco and/or CompuLaw is a plus.Basic knowledge of litigation processes and e-discovery principles.Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.The Phoenix Group Advisors is an equal opportunity employer.
