Process Engineer - PCBA ManufacturingLocationSan Jose, CA (Fully Onsite)ScheduleMonday - Friday, 1st or 2nd ShiftShift Times6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 2:00 PM - 10:30 PMAnnual Salary Range$85K - $100K (Flexible for exceptional candidates)Work TypeDirect Hire or Contract-to-HireKelly Engineering is partnering with our client in San Jose, CA to find a skilled and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join their team.If you have experience in optimizing PCBA manufacturing processes and are passionate about ensuring high-quality production of electronic products, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Development & OptimizationOversee and enhance PCBA manufacturing processes, including solder paste application, pick and place, reflow soldering, and inspection.Equipment & Technology SelectionEvaluate and select the most effective equipment, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and yield.Quality ControlImplement process control methodologies, conduct tests, inspections, and audits to identify and resolve quality issues.Continuous ImprovementLead or participate in process optimization projects, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, productivity improvements, and increased yield.Troubleshooting & Issue ResolutionAnalyze data and resolve issues related to equipment malfunctions, material defects, and process variations.Training & SupportProvide technical support to production teams and train them on PCBA processes and troubleshooting techniques.CollaborationWork closely with design, component, and manufacturing teams to integrate PCBA processes into production.QualificationsRelevant Engineering degree preferred.Minimum 4 years of experience in the PCBA industry.Expertise in developing and optimizing PCBA reflow profiles using profiling software.In-depth understanding of SMT processes, reflow, profiling, stencil design, and J-standard.Knowledge of pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and the ability to create reflow profiles.Familiarity with selective soldering processes, including lead and lead-free.Experience with hand soldering and press-fit processes.Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, IPC/WHMA-A-620D-S) is a plus.Industry ExperienceCandidates must have prior experience working in one or more of the following industries:Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)Aerospace or Defense ManufacturingExperience in these industries ensures familiarity with the unique challenges and standards of PCBA manufacturing processes.If you're ready to take the next step in your career and join a dynamic team, apply now to be considered for this exciting opportunity!ProcessEngineer #PCBA #Manufacturing #SMT #ElectronicsJobs #EngineeringCareers #SanJoseJobs #KellyEngineering
