Job Title: UX Research Associate IIIClient Location: Mountain View, CA; OnsiteStarting: 01/13/2025Salary/Pay Rate: $58.88 to $65.43/hrFirm, non-negotiable: NoHours: Full-timeDuration: 6 monthsJoin a cutting-edge research team developing a revolutionary new form of video communication!We are seeking a talented and passionate UX Research Associate to contribute to the development of an experimental video communication platform. This innovative technology aims to reimagine how people connect by enabling lifelike, 3D interactions that feel incredibly natural and immersive.We are looking for a UX Research Associate to conduct evaluative and mixed methods research. The UXR Research Associate will work closely with other UX Researchers, vision science researchers, product managers, engineers, and designers to conduct qualitative and quantitative research (e.g. usability testing, perceptual studies, surveys, and interviews). The UX Research Associate will conduct research projects and support designing, setting up, analyzing, and presenting results from research studies.Responsibilities:Manage and support the setup and execution of research studiesUnderstand study needs, create research plansorganize study materials, define respondent / participant criteria, and organize materials needed for research activities.Analyze and report on data from research activitiesMandatory Skills/Qualifications:M.A./M.S. (completed) in Psychology, Sociology, Human Factors, or other fields emphasizing human behavior.5-7 years of work experience in relevant graduate-school research experienceExperience with SPSS, R, or other data cleaning and analysis toolsCollecting and analyzing user feedback and survey dataBasic familiarity with each of the following methodsUsability studies, Behavioral science experiments, Concept tests, Perceptual studies, User interviews, Field research, SurveysSolid understanding of and comfort with qualitative methods and foundational research.Strong understanding of experimental designFamiliarity in basic quantitative analysis.Nice to have Skills/Qualifications:Ph.D in Human Factors, Social Sciences, Vision Science, Cognition and Perception, or a related fieldExperience and understanding of display technologiesExperience or familiarity with one or more of the following: Psychophysical studies, Perceptual thresholds, Familiarity with aspects of vestibular conflicts, Visual artifacts and advanced opticsAt least one year of experience conducting research on enterprise-facing products or experiencesThe target hiring compensation range for this role is $58.88 to $65.43 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
