Data Science and insurance background needed.As a Director of Analytics, you'll lead a team of analytics managers and analysts to conduct exploratory research, design experiments to unlock new learnings, study the impacts of new features and business strategies, forecast future business performance, and introduce new metrics and reporting to shape how we measure our business. You'll work closely with leaders in Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Business Development to achieve operational excellence and to craft longer term business strategies for your functional domains.Fully remote. Headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.How You Will Make an ImpactDirectly manage a team of three Analytics Managers and one Lead Analyst spanning Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer OnboardingFacilitate near term project planning and lead longer term strategic planning (annual plans, quarterly OKR setting, weekly sprint planning)Identify process inefficiencies and/or organizational bottlenecks and leverage these opportunities to improve outcomesWork with direct reports and cross functional partners to identify, prioritize, and execute on research and experimentation opportunitiesLead our business forecasting process; work closely with direct reports and leaders in Finance, Product, Marketing, and State ManagementIdentify opportunities to improve analytical methodologies to increase business outcomesBuild strong relationships with other leaders at the Director, VP, and C-Suite level to coordinate across leadership and proactively ensure alignment and awarenessCoach and mentor individuals on the team to increase talent density and foster professional development and growthResponsible for all activities related to hiring, onboarding, and terminationsWhat You Will Need to Succeed8+ years of work experience in analytics (prior marketing, customer experience, or insurance experience preferred)4+ years directly managing analytics teamsProficiency with SQL and BI software (Tableau, Mode, Power BI, etc.)Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or another quantitative fieldSuperior problem-solving skills with ability to think strategically and innovativelyExceptional written and oral communication; able to effectively collaborate with and present materials to VP and C-Suite levelsDetail oriented; able to effectively multitask across multiple domains; consistently maintains rigorous documentationExceptional leadership skills; able to effectively manage a team and influence cross functional partnersRoll-up-the sleeves work ethic and "do-what-it takes" attitude to efficiently execute and drive results in a fast-paced work environmentCancel
