Our client is a growing boutique Alternative Investment Firm, seeking to add an experienced VP add to their Strategic Finance team in NYC. The role focuses on analyzing & executing on major strategic, operational, and strategic growth opportunities and collaborating with Global Head with regards to solution oriented progress.Ideal individual should be well versed with effectively communicating firms' strategy and financial performance with fund investors. In this VP role you will be asked to manage a small team (1-3pp) so prior management experience is strongly preferred.Primary duties and responsibilitiesThe role entails leading special projects, crafting senior-level presentations, conducting analysis, developing strategic decision-making models and driving change within the businessPartner with business leaders to develop and track KPIs and leading indicators aligned with business and corporate objectivesSource and screen prospective investors and strategically partner with internal sales teamManage Client Service efforts by working strategically with internal and external team to accomplish goalProduce multi-year plans and forecasts; create and analyze business metrics and identify cost savings opportunities; and deliver economic insight into the relationships between costs and revenues to improve the financial success of the business going forwardPrepare and deliver compelling and visually effective financial presentationsAssist in review of potential new investments, including research into new marketsDevelop strategic and analytical frameworks for business development effortsFormalize and implement a business plan and strategy to introduce firm to new investorsAttend meetings, industry events, and conferences with PM's to meet with potential investors and to represent the firmPrepare & present due diligence findings to investment committees, Senior Management and Firm Clients.Qualifications9+ years of experience, with at least 5 years of experience in sales, strategy consulting/ investment bank, or direct Hedge Fund Marketing/Investor Relations.Strong and well-developed analytic, problem-solving and quantitative skill, with exceptional attention to detailAdvanced quantitative and critical thinking skills with the capacity to quickly learn and develop new reports and analysisWe are looking for a candidate with creative problem-solving and excellent modeling capabilitiesDevelop and implement financial strategies to support the business's growth and profitability objectivesBA/BS degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field.Advanced degree (MBA) strongly preferredResults-orientation with an ability to take initiative, execute and complete deliverables in a timely mannerDeep understanding of Private Equity/Alternative Asset Management and/or Real Estate requiredCommunicate complex financial concepts and strategies in a clear and concise manner to both financial and non-financial audiencesStrong leadership potential, with excellent inter-personal skills and collaboration abilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization
