The Senior Investment Professional will be a key contributor towards the deployment and management of capital into attractive commercial real estate investments. This individual will focus upon asset management, portfolio reporting and loan surveillance of PAM's commercial mortgage portfolios. The incumbent will assist production team members with the origination and closing of commercial real estate loans. Additionally, the incumbent may assist with evaluation and management of real estate securities (CMBS and CLO's), equity real estate and due diligence/valuation of real estate asset portfolios.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor the performance of mortgages comprising the various PAM client portfolios.Manage internal quality ratings of commercial mortgages with an emphasis on identifying potential problem loans in advance of negative credit events.Interact with outside loan servicers and lead participant lenders.Participate in the preparation of required portfolio reports.Maintain closing checklists for new loan originations and loan refinances to ensure that due diligence is satisfactorily completed and to ensure that all requirements of individual loan approvals are satisfied.As requested, underwrite potential commercial real estate loan investments, including evaluation of the collateral, sponsorship, and structure. Identify potential risks and propose appropriate structure to mitigate risks.Lead in the management and administration of commercial real estate loan investments, including annual mortgage reviews, periodic property inspections, lease approvals, loan assumptions and loan modifications. Remain well informed of trends within the broader commercial real estate market, capital markets and economy. ESSENTIAL BUSINESS EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLSRequired:Willingness to work cooperatively within a team environment.Ability to manage evolving priorities.Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Proficiency with business software such as Excel, Word and, Power PointIntermediary to advance familiarity with and understanding of lease agreements, property agreements, loan documents and other contracts.Proficiency modelling property cash flows and performing sensitivity analysis.Experience with the valuation of multiple property types.Preferred:Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.Results-driven professional with 12+ years of experience in commercial real estate investments, preferably including institutional experience.Experience with commercial real estate (equity) assets and commercial mortgage-backed securities.Some exposure to loan workouts, restructurings, assumptions and renewals.Some Travel Required
