Production Line Leader (Manufacturing) - Allendale, NJPosition Summary/ Objectives The Blister Packaging Line Leader is responsible for overseeing the filling and packaging area, adhering to safety standards, maintaining quality standards, ensuring efficient operations, meeting standard outputs, and leading a team of packaging operators to meet daily production goals. The ideal candidate understands packaging processes and can support the strategic and operational objectives of the business. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality.Essential Job Functions:Supervise, packaging team responsible for filling, pouching, and blister packaging operations.Ensure adherence to cGMP's, safety regulations and environmental requirements.Ensure assigned personnel are effectively trained in their job requirements.Ensure quality records, including logbooks, procedures, etc., are completed.Assist in the packaging of products in accordance with Batch Records and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Monitor and report daily output and productivity of the teamSchedule, delegate, and execute weekly and daily packaging scheduled to support business needs.Monitor and report control production costs.Implement process improvements with emphasis on quality, safety and cost reduction.Support the transfer of manufacturing processes from R&D to commercial launch.Investigate quality issues and prepare investigation reports (CARs).Write and revise Batch Records and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Prepare and track required GMP documents (ECOs, Process Deviations, Product Dispositions).Maintain adequate inventory to prevent backorders and excessive production costs.Prepare Annual Product reports and Quarterly trending.Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities.Maintain supplies and requisition as needed.Perform performance management for all assigned personnelInterview and select new hires for assigned teamsAssist with various special ad hoc projects and other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:This position manages manufacturing technicians and assistants staff and projectsEducation, Experience and Certification:This position requires a minimum of GED/high school diploma with four (4) years of medical device, pharmaceutical, or food/beverage packaging experience, or bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences with 2 years medical device, pharmaceutical, or food/beverage packaging experience.Strong people management and leadership skills. Ability to motivate staff.Ability to perform detailed document and component inventory reviewExperience with ERP systems is preferredAbility to work in a team environment.Experience with maintaining and managing packaging equipment is plusStrong organizational skills - ability to simultaneously track multiple assignmentsExcellent communication skills (oral and written)Experience with Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
