Health Safety Environment Coordinator

Akkodis is seeking an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Coordinator for one of our clients in Fountain Inn, SC. Rate Range: $25.00/hour to $30.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.For this particular assignment, must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.DescriptionAssist with the implementation, administration, interpretation, and enforcement of safety & environmental requirements including plant, Corporate, local, state and federal regulations. Help establish safety & environmental standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001, OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001). Review of HSE incidents for root cause and establishment of corrective and preventative actions. Provide technical assistance with various plant staff functions. Coordinate plant safety teams.ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance routes are completed and updated as needed.Take part in Incident Investigation facilitating root cause analysis and proper corrective and preventative actions.Participate in plant emergency response teams.Conduct hazard assessments of equipment/jobs to ensure they meet all applicable requirements.Take part in safety audits of key program areas to ensure compliance with regulatory and company directives.Maintain documentation to meet directives and regulatory requirements.Maintain documentation to meet directives and regulatory requirements.Shop floor mentor and interface for HSE topics.HSE related communication including training, safety alerts and production review meetings.Prepare HSE related training material and lead training classes.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent3+ years of experience in manufacturing/warehousing or industrial environmentValid Driver's LicenseComputer skills, strong MS Office.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
