Procurement Specialist

About The Role:We are seeking a driven and resourceful Procurement Specialist to join our client's team in White Cloud, MI. This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring direct goods to support our lubricant and equipment product lines, as well as indirect goods and services for facility operations. The ideal candidate for this role will excel in building supplier relationships, executing the end-to-end procurement process, and ensuring alignment with business goals including cost, quality, and delivery objectives. This role is critical in driving operational excellence and supporting the growth of the company.This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, providing a balance between on-site and remote work opportunities.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.Source and evaluate suppliers for direct and indirect goods, and facility services.Issue and oversee purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods.Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including price, delivery, and warranty.Utilize data-driven insights to manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, balancing the need to meet operational demands while minimizing excess inventory and cost.Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier data within an ERP system.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational performance and objectives.What you'll need to be successful in this position:A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, business administration, or a related engineering discipline is preferred; or equivalent practical experience in a similar role.Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Ability to network, build and maintain supplier relationships.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.Working knowledge of an ERP system and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Trusted leader in providing high-quality industrial lubricants, equipment, and solutions to a wide range of industries.
