We have a passionate management team and committed investors who believe in our patented technology and overall mission to profoundly advance biomedical research and accelerate the discovery of life-saving treatments.Summary We are seeking a Research Associate II to join our R&D group to develop and optimize assay and consumables/reagent/kit for our cutting-edge PyxaTM suite of products. The candidate will be part of the Assay Development Team and be tasked with designing, developing and optimizing protocols to test new reagents for transcriptomics assay. In addition, the candidate will be expected to perform imaging, data compiling/analysis/interpretation and communicating results to the team. This role seeks individuals who are eager to operate within a vibrant and interdisciplinary environment and collaborate with team members from many diverse backgrounds (biology, biophysics, engineering, genomics, and computational biology).Responsibilities:Support reagent product development by performing experimental design, planning, and scientific execution of research projects.Follow the laboratory's established procedures to prepare, test and evaluate new reagents, troubleshoot and create new protocols if needed.Record experimental results for research and development projects in electronic laboratory notebooks. Demonstrate critical thinking in execution of research tasks involved with all projects. Identify technical issues, recommend solutions and communicate results to the team.Track lab inventory and tissue samples, ensuring the timely procurement of reagents and consumables.Interact with project team members and cross-functional teams to anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues working in a matrix organizational structure.Work within a specific project team to accomplish assigned task or team objectives within project timelines. Accountable for meeting scheduled completion dates and for providing timely feedback when dates cannot be met. Qualifications:A B.S or M.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, Bioengineering, or related disciplines.1-3 years of hands-on experience in a similar domain, academic or industry, and a robust foundation in molecular and cell biology.Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects with evolving priorities and deadlines.Excellent information management, time management, and organization skills required.Hands-on experience with microscopy, immunostaining or in situ RNA detection is preferred.Ability to be agile and have a "˜can-do' solution-oriented approach to problems.Legally authorized to work in the US.
