Our client, a healthcare agency in NYC, is looking for a freelance Director of Media Strategy with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a temporary/contract engagement with full-time hours. This individual will play a critical role in shaping strategic outputs and enhancing the quality of their paid media strategy across digital, web, TV, print and OOH. The Director of Media Strategy will collaborate closely with internal account and creative teams to challenge assumptions and transform client assignments into groundbreaking, category-challenging, media experiences. The ideal candidate must be comfortable presenting to clients, leading strategic discussions and driving both new business initiatives and ongoing strategic client engagements.This is a 40-hour/week remote position working EST hours.Responsibilities:Lead the development of strategic media initiatives, ensuring category-defining outcomesCollaborate with internal account and creative teams to improve strategic outputs and ensure alignment with client objectivesChallenge existing assumptions and reframe client assignments into bold, unique media propositionsPresent strategic recommendations to clients with clarity, confidence and persuasive storytellingDrive strategic contributions in new business pitches and proposalsServe as a strategic advisor across multiple client engagements, offering insights and thought leadershipFacilitate workshops, strategy sessions and collaborative meetings with both internal teams and clientsMentor and develop media team members, fostering a culture of strategic excellenceRequired Qualifications:8+ years of experience in media strategy within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industryProven ability to present confidently to clients and influence decision-making at the senior levelStrong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and collaborate across teamsExpertise in developing category-challenging media propositionsExperience leading new business efforts and contributing to successful client acquisitionExceptional critical thinking, problem-solving and storytelling skillsAbility to question assumptions and inspire innovative thinking in media strategy developmentIf you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.The Solomon Page DistinctionSolomon Page offers a comprehensive benefit program for hourly employees.
