Come make your mark at a company that strives to celebrate your individuality, skills, and talents.At Golden West Packaging Group, you'll feel the difference and make a difference!Role you will play:The primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to plan, coordinate, direct and oversee production teams, material resources, and equipment to ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality production and movement of products through the operation. This position works closely with key stakeholders across multiple departments to troubleshoot problem areas, identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, and set up following shifts for success.List 8-10 essential job accountabilities and duties (i.e., specific results, outputs, deliverables for which this position is responsible). Also, estimate percent (%) of time spent on each accountability. Answers question of "why does this job exist" & "what contributions are expected from this position"What you will do:Safety - Leads, promotes, and practices safety awareness and proper use of equipment. Ensures employees wear protective equipment and training is completed prior to job assignments. Actively identifies, reports, and eliminates hazards.Efficiency - Maintains manufacturing efficiency and troubleshoots production issues. Leads employee productivity, costs and quality to ensure optimal performance.Equipment -Training - Oversees and conducts on the job training on machine equipment and operating standards to ensure performance target.Maintenance - Organize equipment malfunctions and repairsPeople - Directs employment decision of shift including; hiring, re-assignment, promotion, discipline, and termination of employees. Approved timecards and controls overtime costs.Creates and sustains a culture of relentless pursuit of continuous improvement and business excellence. Resolves and prevents disputes that arise among employees on the production floor.Orders - Maintain close engagement with process partners to consider cost / schedule / performance trade-offs relating to customer orders,Communication - Conducts daily shift start meetings ensuring product specifications and production goals are clearly communicated and the team is prepared to carry out safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations.Quality - Executes quality inspections, identify nonconformance issues and works closely with cross functional teams to conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.Planning- Plan daily shift activities and coordinate/allocate team and materials resources to ensure production targets are consistently met.What you will need:5 years of corrugated industry experience including specific knowledge of box manufacturing, people management, production, plant operations, printing, finishing, die-cutting processes, plant efficiencies, and any other best practices.Strong working knowledge of supervising manufacturing operations with a large employee base, in a fast-paced, high volume custom fabrication or relevant industrial manufacturing environment.Lean mentality, a focus on quality, and a proven track record of identifying and contributing to the implementation of continuous safety, quality, and process improvements. Experience with Six Sigma is a plus.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and develop cohesive, high-performing production teams.Strong aptitude in diagnosing and taking corrective action to drive machine efficiency and production processes.Strong written/verbal communication skills and computer literacy with proficiency in the use of production planning/management systems, as well as MS Office platform.Strong mathematical skills with the ability to calculate figures, measurements, percentages, and totals.Self-starter with an ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teams and management across multiple departments.Ability to drive operational performance through data driven decision making and KPI's.Ability and flexibility to think, react, and adapt quickly to changing demands, challenges, and requirementsHigh School diploma, with the ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and concepts easilyJob Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftEvening shiftMonday to FridayNight shiftWork Location: In person
