The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for training and developing employees, assigning work to others, and acting as a resource to the employees. Additionally, this role involves managing relationships with service providers and partners throughout the globe, being the liaison for vendors to manage shipment bookings, ensuring timely transfers from logistics providers' warehouses and onward to final destinations, as appropriate. This role will also assist as needed to complete the work of the department in addition to daily shipment processing.Responsibilities:Responsible for managing their direct team of dispatchers and supporting fellow teammates within the operations department on performance, job assignments and training.Responsible for the day-to-day operations and ensuring our clients' service level agreements are met by driving the team. Including but not limited to: Days to Complete, Reschedules and Escalations.Actively communicate and build strong partnerships with agents/contractors, field management team, and dispatchers.Research & analyzing employee productivity daily through certain platforms. Including but not limited to: Power BI, SLR, Fresh Desk and Ring Central.Ability to administer, supervise and provide feedback; exercise judgement in appraising situations, address poor performance and make decisions to staff management.Take ownership over escalated issues and follow through until all parties are satisfied.Manage daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveries, track progress of shipments; Ensure the team is adhering to the confirmation processes and push Mobiletek usage.Demonstrate leadership through work ethic and high performance.Ability to tailor communication (both written and verbal) according to appropriate audience.Ensure safe working environment through consistent practice of safety programs and procedures.Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.A team player who works well with others - being respectful to our teammates is a Core ValueA strong work ethic with an appreciation for ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy in your roleGrowth mindset - being passionate about your craft, always looking for ways to improve yourself and the company, being open to change and doing things differentlyCustomer service focus - we serve a wide variety of customers, both internal and external, and building relationships is a part of our cultureQualifications:Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience requiredMinimum of 3-5 years freight forwarding experience1-3 years supervisor experience preferredExperience with Microsoft Office, Power BI, AS400Experience with AS400Basic understanding of routing operationsSupervising experience and labor schedulingStrong sense of urgencyAttention to detailTime managementAIT Worldwide Logistics is a global freight forwarder that helps companies grow by expanding access to markets all over the world where they can sell and/or procure their raw materials, components and finished goods.
