Location: Flexible / Remote.Voyager invests in exceptional technology companies building the foundations of a durable global economy. We are a team of experienced investors, founders, academic researchers and policy-makers who have built multiple climate tech companies over the past two decades. We put our domain expertise and networks to work in accelerating the success of ambitious early-stage founding teams in North America and Europe, focusing on Seed and Series A climate tech companies modernizing massive markets and driving decarbonization worldwide. Voyager is based in San Francisco, New York and London. We started investing Voyager Fund II in January 2025.About the Role We are a small team focused on getting things done. To move even more quickly, we are hiring a Chief of Staff to own strategic projects, communications and technology enablement. This role will report to Sierra Peterson, Founding Partner, with visibility across the organization. This is not an investment track position. This role is ideally suited for someone with hustle looking to build operational and managerial skills for future entrepreneurial endeavors and strategic leadership roles.Responsibilities Strategic ProjectsLead and manage cross-functional strategic initiatives to drive firm growth and operational efficiency, serving as an extension of the General Partner (GP) in overseeing and executing the firm's strategy.Strategic projects will range from analysis to guide Voyager's strategic growth and GP decision-making, investment research, support with LP relationships and firm management. CommunicationsDraft, design, and refine key communication materials, including annual meeting communications, LP letters and strategic emails.Ensure messaging aligns with the firm's vision and priorities.Maintain consistency and quality across all external-facing materials and presentations.Marketing Manage the firm's social media presence, crafting thoughtful, engaging content to enhance brand visibility.Develop and execute a content strategy to highlight portfolio successes, firm milestones, and thought leadership.Monitor performance analytics to continuously optimize social media and communication efforts.Build and manage communications plan including maintaining database of media connections. Manage external communications partners.Collaborate with and manage design agencies to ensure cohesive, compelling branding.Community BuildingPlan and execute events, workshops, and forums to engage the firm's ecosystem.Act as a point of contact for community inquiries and maintain a pulse on community needs.Represent Voyager at community events and with the media.Support investment team in partnering with portfolio company leaders, founders and portfolio companies. Project Management & Operational Support Partner with the Voyager investment and operations teams to identify and implement process improvements across the firm.Ensure key operational deadlines and deliverables are met with precision and excellence.Act as a trusted advisor to Voyager's leadership, providing insights and support as needed.Technology Evaluate and recommend software tools to streamline and automate workflows across key business functions, including communications, project management, and data analysis.Pilot, implement, and monitor the adoption of automation and AI software, ensuring alignment with the firm's operational goals.Train team members on the effective use of AI tools and automations to maximize productivity and reduce manual work.Stay updated on emerging AI trends and innovations to continuously identify opportunities for process enhancements.Qualifications RequirementsAt least 5 years of experience in roles such as management consultant, chief of staff, strategic operations leader, product manager, founder or operational leader within high-growth environments. Must demonstrate a proven ability to tackle complex challenges, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver results in entrepreneurial or fast-paced settings.Strong strategic judgment and confidence. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to the firm's founders regarding strategic direction and will create Voyager's presence in external communications and branding.Product mindset and experience in driving process efficiencies.
