Consistently ranked as the No.1 M&A advisory firm for mid-market businesses, we have a history of successfully selling privately held businesses across North America.Generational Group is looking for a M&A Buyer Coverage Analyst to join our M&A Buyer Intelligence Center.The M&A Buyer Coverage Analyst will be responsible for three core activities:1) DATA: Research, identify, and enter/update Database with the most active Buyers across industry segments.2) RELATIONSHIPS: Contact through Linked-in, email, telephone and in person in office, at location, and at conferences, the Buyer contacts to serve them with their acquisition activities. Update their primary contact info, and acquisition criteria and activities. Set quarterly Outlook invite coverage calls and conduct Zooms. Drive new DealForce signups.3) LISTS: Create custom Buyer lists from the Database, M&A, Trade, Internet, and industry resources.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork as a member of a cross-functional team that includes deal team members, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to identify a strategic buyer matrix for each of our M&A clients.Navigate various search engines to query and build comprehensive buyer lists.Develop and maintain current comprehensive industry buyer lists with accurate contact data.Manage our Buyers email account, which includes documenting the buyers' mandates in Salesforce, identifying, and presenting relevant deals to buyers.Nurture our buyer relationships by knowing the current portfolios of our key buyers and relating new deals to them as they come to market.Network through buyer and industry trade shows to develop key relationships and engage new buyers with our deal flow.Promote our DealForce buyer portal and app, and onboard new users.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe Ideal candidate will have one year of prior investment banking Analyst experience, a strong work ethic, and demonstrates the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, harnessing their ability to bring creative solutions to enhance our Buyer Intelligence Center.Education and Experience RequiredA bachelor's degree in business, finance, or marketing. Master's degree preferred.2+ years' experience in corporate finance.Experience using CapitalIQ, D&B Hoovers, PitchBook, ZoomInfo or other search engines.
