Blue Chip Talent is looking for a Senior Motor Control Engineer in Carson CAScheduleM-F 8 hours avg THIS ROLE IS HYBRID - 3 days per week on-site on average depending on business needsResponsibilities:Develop and implement SIL (software-in-the-loop) test cases for motor controls and software features Integrate motor, inverter, and drive unit models into the SIL environment Incorporate SIL regression test as a part of the continuous integration process of motor control software development Work with cross-functional teams on SIL integration of embedded-level features that are critical to motor control regression testing Develop dashboards and perform big data analysis to assess DTC (diagnostic trouble codes) triggering events, differentiating between false and true fault events Propose and coordinate in implementation of software solutions to root-cause issues and enhance the accuracy and full robustness of DTCs Evaluate performance, categorize data, implement improvements, and monitor software fixes for intelligent fault recovery solutions Create dashboards for advanced motor control features, develop automated reports for feature owners, and collaborate to troubleshoot issues or add data for root cause analysis. Credentials:A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, or a related field 2+ years' experience in software testing and development with a focus on the automotive industry is preferred Proficiency in C, Python, and SQL An understanding of electric motors, power converters, and associated diagnostics is preferred Familiarity with testing and quality assurance processes, along with experience in using requirement and issue-tracking management tools Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with various teams, including software developers, test and integration engineers, and system architects. Strong teamwork skills, data presentation, and problem-solving attitude
