We have an immediate need for a highly motivated Supply Chain Specialist. If you are operationally-minded, have prior cGMP, GDP, and/or OSHA experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where priorities are often shifting, this could be a great opportunity for you to grow with our early-stage biotech organization.This role will be based full-time onsite in Watertown, MA and will require travel to our Cambridge, MA headquarters and possibly other locations as needed.Role and ResponsibilitiesProcurement:Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products requiredPartners with the manufacturing leadership to understand procurement quantities and schedulingInitiates requests for quotations and proposalsAnalyzes proposal pricing from potential suppliers to identify opportunities for cost and risk reduction and to improve efficiencyInitiates purchase orders and ensures timely approval by the internal team and on-time delivery by suppliersReviews and approves supplier invoices, and support invoice resolutions as requiredPartners with legal counsel in the preparation of non-disclosure agreements with suppliersLogistics:Receives and allocates materials according to storage specificationsManages inventory updates and cycle count processesTransfers materials to production areasShips materials per written requestsOther:Develops and updates standard operating procedures (SOP's)Supports warehouse facilities and equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenanceActs as warehouse representative on cross-functional projectsQualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree is required3 years of experience working in regulated environments (i.e., cGMP, GDP, OSHA) is requiredMust have a valid drivers license and ability to drive a full-sized van as requiredPrior experience in supply chain, logistics management and material management experience is highly preferredGood verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all departmentsStrong organizational skills are requiredChange management skills a plusMust be available to support our cell therapy operations during non-standard/extended hours and weekends/holidays as requiredProficient in software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Smartsheet)Physical Demands:Must have the ability to lift up to 50 poundsRequires physical activity such as standing for long periods of time, walking, and working with hands
