Job DescriptionThis growing firm in Houston, TX (Galleria Area) is looking to add an experienced Bilingual Personal Injury Associate to their team. As an Associate you will assist more Senior Associates and Partners in managing cases. Depending on your experience, you may have your own docket of cases. This position's primary focus is personal injury.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain client relationships throughout the legal processDevelop strategies in complex disputesInterpret and summarize legal documentsNegotiate with outside parties on legal disputes and contractual issuesAppear in a court of law, arbitration, or other judicial tribunal on behalf of the firm's clientUtilize knowledge of civil law principles and their applicationUnderstand research methods, rules of evidence and conduct of court proceedingsEffectively deliver legal information in a workshop setting, hearing, or courtroomPlan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet deadlinesInterpret, understand, and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulationsWrite correspondence in a professional mannerMaintain confidential and sensitive informationPrepare, present and conduct cases of law, equity and appeals thereof effectivelyPresent statements of fact, law, and argument clearly and logically in written and oral formRequired Experience/Skills3 -5 years of experienceBilingual. Must be fluent in Spanish.Outstanding verbal and written communication skillsCollaborative, self-motivated, and highly professional5%-10% travel requiredValues and thrives in team-based approachHas technical skills where new programs can be quickly learnedEducation Juris Doctor degree from accredited law schoolBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant coursework obtained through an MBA.Current Texas state bar admissionPay & Benefits SummaryPay is commensurate with experience with a competitive benefits package.
