Director of IT

The Director of IT serves as a strategic partner between IT and core business units, ensuring alignment of digital and technology initiatives with organizational goals in a multi-location, multi-company environment. Reporting to the Chief Digital Information Officer, this role focuses on leveraging technology to enhance business processes, improve operational efficiency and drive digital transformation. The Director of IT will lead the execution of IT roadmaps, oversee IT budgets and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize technology adoption and service delivery.Director of ITResponsibilities:Act as the primary liaison between IT and business units, ensuring IT services meet operational and strategic business needsCollaborate with business stakeholders to analyze system needs, develop application roadmaps and align IT initiatives with business objectivesChampion change management efforts, driving the adoption of digital tools and technologiesDefine, implement and oversee IT roadmaps to deliver desired business capabilitiesManage IT projects, including system implementation, upgrades and integrations, while ensuring alignment with corporate strategiesNegotiate with consultants, vendors and technical personnel to secure services and productsEnsure seamless communication and collaboration between IT teams and business stakeholders to optimize technology adoptionAct as the escalation point for IT issues affecting business operations, resolving critical incidents efficientlyManage ERP and other software support relationships, including prioritization, work intake and enhancement deploymentsDevelop and enforce policies for data accuracy, security and regulatory compliance, including SOX-related controlsMaintain and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuityCoordinate with IT function for shared services such as networks, infrastructure, and monitoring toolsLeverage enterprise software catalogs to support business unit end usersSupport subsidiary or sister companies with IT recommendations and assistanceSupervise direct reports, consultants, and third-party service providers, including hiring, training and performance appraisalsFoster teamwork, collaboration and professional development within IT teamsDirector of ITRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field10+ years of IT leadership experience, preferably in organizations with revenues over $500 millionStrong knowledge of ERP systems, with experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
