Civil Estimator

Due to our continued growth, we are currently looking for a Civil Estimators for our National Utility Division to join our Mickleton, NJ location. The successful candidate will have the following qualificationsKey Responsibilities:Develop complete estimates for drilled shaft foundation and substation civil projects including material takeoffs, vendor pricing, applicable subcontractor support, and estimated production based on Owner/GC provided bid documentsAttend pre-bid walkthroughs with Owner and customer representatives to understand projects scope, schedule requirements, logistics and site conditionsPrepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documentsIdentify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documentsIdentify, quantify, and communicate potential production and cost uncertainties to ensure all risks are understood and addressed.Communicate with customers and team members regarding new and current projects Manage bid pricing from all vendorsEstablish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors Conduct and/or participate in post-close job reviews so that future estimates reflect lessons learned from prior jobsPosition Requirements:· 2+ years of experience in civil construction estimating with utility substation and transmission emphasis Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or extensive experience in estimating with field experience · Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly verbally and in writing Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimatesStrong understanding of construction processesIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines· Prior experience with B2W is a plusBenefitsCompetitive compensation401k matching planHealth (medical, dental and vision) insurance where premiums are paid 100% by company· Paid time offOn-premises health club and basketball facilities at Dundee location for employees and families useCompany cellphone, and computer Recruiters or staffing agencies please do not contact us No Visa Sponsorship available CJ Drilling, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer
