Senior Engineering Manager

This position will lead the development of software and hardware systems for a next-generation hypersonic vehicle. This hands-on leadership role involves managing a cross-disciplinary team and driving the design, integration, and testing of critical systems, including flight computers, control systems, and core avionics. This position is responsible for end-to-end development, from initial design and testing to deployment on production-ready vehicles.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the technical and programmatic framework for the flight computer and flight software systems.Build and lead a high-performing engineering team to design, test, and produce flight computers, operating systems, and core software.Drive integration of hardware and software systems into high-performance vehicle platforms.Innovate within a fast-paced, startup-like environment to develop reliable and scalable solutions.Minimum Qualifications:B.S. degree in Computer Engineering / Science or related field.10+ years of related engineering experience, preferably within a startup.Substantial senior management experience.Proven track record of delivering software and hardware solutions from concept to production.Hands-on experience in Linux systems (RTOS, kernel, driver development) and hardware integration.Experience with embedded systems, including robotics or autonomous platforms.Strong understanding of hardware architecture, assembly-level programming, and OS fundamentals.Proficiency in C, C++, or Rust for embedded systems.Familiarity with cryptography.Preferred Qualifications:Experience developing software for autonomous flight systems, satellites, rockets, or robotics.Ideal Candidate: A visionary leader who excels in leading multidisciplinary teams, combining deep technical expertise with hands-on involvement to deliver innovative, high-performance systems from concept to production.??
