We currently have 4 locations across Texas and growing: Houston, The Woodlands, Austin and San Antonio.DescriptionAs a Project Engineer on our Hydrology & Hydraulics team you will:Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of complex drainage features to support development projectsDesign and analysis of stormwater detention basins, open channels, and storm sewer systemsPerform floodplain and mitigation analysesAssist with preparation of technical reports and cost estimatesConduct field visits to understand existing site conditions and confirm accuracy of third party surveyAttend industry events and become involved in the community as a representative of WGACoordinates with technical support or Land Development personnel under H&H Project Manager's supervisionSchedule project deliverablesCollect, organize, and evaluate dataOrganize and file project materials and referencesAnalyze systems utilizing computer modelingDevelop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawingWorks closely with project and task team leadersMaintain regular and prompt attendance at WGA Houston officePerform other duties as assignedRequired skills and experienceActivities include research: preliminary design calculations and field work and observationTake personal responsibility for quality of tasks performed.Participate review of task level assignmentsDemonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized fieldFamiliarize self with firm's methods, standards, and practicesDesired qualities and attributesGood oral and written communication skills, good sense of professional ruleContinues on-the-job training.Growing knowledge of profession as organizations, professional development programs or other training.Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language clearly and both orally and in writingEducational requirements:Civil Engineering degree and up to 3 years experience.Engineer in Training (EIT) license obtained or scheduled to sit for examExperience in AutoCad is a plusExperience in Microsoft Office SuiteMust have exposure to: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and GIS softwareExposure to general Drainage/H&H engineering design is a plusEEO STATEMENTWGA LLC is committed to providing equal opportunity to all qualified applicants and its employees.
