Here, we go beyond therapy to create lasting impact, ensuring each child gains the confidence and physical independence they need to thrive.Your RoleAs a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be instrumental in transforming lives by helping children find their voice and express themselves. Through your work, you'll empower young learners to build confidence, connect with others, and unlock their potential, contributing to a mission that goes beyond education to truly change lives.What You'll DoAssess Communication NeedsConduct thorough evaluations to identify each child's speech and language challenges and needs.Develop Individualized PlansCreate and implement tailored treatment plans to address speech and language goals as outlined in each student's IEP.Deliver Quality TherapyProvide engaging, effective speech therapy services that empower children to develop essential communication skills.Collaborate Across TeamsWork closely with educators, therapists, and families to ensure an integrated approach to supporting each child's growth.Support Parents and CaregiversOffer training and consistent communication to involve families in their child's progress and success.Maintain Professional StandardsComplete accurate and timely documentation while adhering to organizational policies and professional guidelines.Contribute to Professional DevelopmentParticipate in staff development activities and provide in-service training to colleagues.Role RequirementsNew York State Certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language DisabilitiesMaster's Degree in Speech-Language PathologyNYS Professional License as a Speech-Language Pathologist (preferred)A passion for helping children unlock their potential and a commitment to excellenceWhy Join Us?When you join the Bronx Early Learning Center, you become part of a community that values your expertise and invests in your success.
