Job PurposeThis position will provide advanced support for DAVENPORT's marketing and business development department. (Must be willing to work on-site at the DAVENPORT Winston-Salem location - Commute or Relocate)Duties and ResponsibilitiesProposals, RFP / RFQ Responses and Presentations:Preparing proposals, qualifications packages, and presentations for prospective clientsWorking with leadership, technical staff, and other marketing team members to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral. Coordinates or obtains information from consultant firms to be included in proposals and presentations"”research project details such as budgets, size, client references, etc.Prepares information for the Go/No Go process, coordinating with task leads as needed and submitting information to leadership for decision-makingFacilitate relationships with partner firms and agency marketing and procurement departments to improve the ease of coordination between entitiesAssist with project intake and fee proposal preparation as neededMarketing Promotion and PR Activities:Primary responsibility for implementing the conference and trade show calendar, scheduling coordination, and preparationsHelps implement social media plan and the design of necessary web-based graphicsResponsible for updating company website or social media accounts at direction.Designs collateral materials needed for public relations and advertising programs, corporate identity development and implementation, special events, direct-mail programs, e-blasts, etc.Writes and updates project profiles and personnel resumes to be used for marketing purposesRepresents firm to clients, peer organization and business associates to support business development efforts including attendance to trades shows as needed. Coordinates activities of marketing vendors and consultantsProject Related Activities:Provide Graphic / Visualization support to project teams as needed, including animations, project fly-overs, renderings, flyers, project websites, etcAttend and support project public involvement meetings as neededAdministrative Functions:Primary responsibility for maintaining and submitting company certifications and firm prequalificationAssist with entering and maintaining current data in DAVENPORT's CRM and marketing database as needed.Lead designated marketing research initiatives as necessary Coordinate schedules and set meetings for key staff as neededOther marketing-related activities. Travel up to 10% of the time may be required.QualificationsRequired:Degree in Marketing or a related field 5+ years of experience providing support to marketing and business development departmentsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator Preferred:Experience in a professional services firm and ideally in the A/E/C industry Proficiency with Cosential, Vantage Point, or similar CRMProficiency in 3D visualization software A portfolio or work samples may be requestedDemonstrated AbilitiesStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsCreative with strong design acumenStrong computer skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to meet firm internal and external deadlinesAbility to pull reports and manage datasets by combining, scrubbing, and manipulating lists accuratelyEnthusiastic and friendly with the demonstrated ability to work with people at various levels within the firmApproaches projects with a flexible and adaptable mindset and a willingness to learn.Availability to attend/run occasional events in the early morning or evenings, as requiredDemonstrate a capacity to self-start and work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment.Interact with internal and external stakeholders credibly, diplomatically, and with integrity.Physical Requirements· Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear.· Frequently required to walk, use hands to type data, operate business machines, dial the telephone, and reach with hands and arms.· Frequently lift and/or move 5-10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.· Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.Reports To · Director of BD & Marketing OR · Deputy Director of BD & Marketing OR · Marketing ManagerDirect Reports· None
