As a crucial team member, you will work closely with senior engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to identify requirements and develop robust internal tools.Key Responsibilities:Leading and contributing to engineering projects, both independently and in collaboration with internal and external teamsProviding production support for time-sensitive systems such as signal dashboards, portfolio management systems, external trade feeds, risk systems, and operational/accounting systemsEnhancing existing and developing new APIs, frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and testing suites using modern architectural designsPerforming data analysis and reconciliations to ensure system functionalityFinding the Right FitWhile various backgrounds can be suitable, experience with mortgage-backed securities, whole loans, structured products, portfolio management systems, and accounting is advantageous. Exposure to corporate credit products like collateralized loan obligations, corporate bonds, or bank loans is beneficial but not required.Key Qualifications:Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership and responsibility for your workProficiency in SQL programming, database engineering principles, and query optimizationExpertise in C#, JavaScript, TypeScript (and related frameworks like Angular and React)Working knowledge of Python is a plusComfort with front-end developmentA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, is required, along with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience. Experience on a trading desk at an investment management firm is highly regarded.
