Responsibilities: Co-author public C&CE strategy; coordinate public engagement with NEPA and technical activities; lead PMC contract management; and manage Speaker's Bureau. Co-develop and execute the Red Line Community Engagement Plan; oversee, coordinate, and manage all Red Line outreach and engagement consultant activities in coordination with the Community Engagement Manager, MTA-OCM, and the technical team; coordinate public-facing community engagement materials; coordinate in-reach materials (i.e., The Secretary's Office and The Governor's Office briefing decks); strategic advisor and liaison with technical team's developer and stakeholder outreach. Assist the director with overseeing and tracking special projects.Administrative Support:Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed.Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including meeting minutes, project plans, and progress reports.Provide quality assurance/quality control support on documents and deliverablesAssist with tracking documents and deliverables through the review processProject Coordination:Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating community engagement projects and events.Track project timelines, tasks, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:Prepare briefs, talking points, and speeches as directedCommunicate project updates, event details, and community outreach initiatives to stakeholders.Prepare summaries and presentations for management and stakeholdersEvent Support:Provide on-site support during community events, including setup, coordination of volunteers, attendee registration, and troubleshooting.Ensure events comply with safety, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.Community Outreach and Support:Assist in developing outreach materials such as newsletters, flyers, and social media posts.Support outreach campaigns to promote transit services, initiatives, and community engagement opportunities.Budget and Financial Administration:Assist in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and processing invoices.Prepare financial reports and assist in budget planning for community engagement projects.Key Considerations:Organization and Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with diverse stakeholders, including community members, agency staff, and contractors.Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in documentation, event planning, and financial records.Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to unexpected challenges during project execution.Tools and Technologies:Office Productivity Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for document creation, spreadsheet management, and email communication.Event Management Tools: Experience with event planning software or platforms for registration, attendee management, and logistics coordination.Professional DevelopmentCommunity Engagement Strategies: Stay informed about best community engagement, public relations, and outreach practices.Project Management Skills: Consider training or certifications in project management to enhance your skills in planning, executing, and monitoring community engagement projects.Please note these responsibilities could change according to needs and requirements.Education: Public Policy, Transportation Planning, Project Management,Skills: Speech/Talking Points Writing, Equity Planning (Nice to Have), Bilingual (Nice to Have)Experience: 5-10 years + small team management experience
