The Director of Marketing leads the development and execution of the brand building and operational plan of an assigned large-scale multi-million-dollar product category, which may contain multiple individual brands. The ideal candidate will drive the strategic direction of the category while leading the marketing and cross functional team to deliver the annual operating plan and marketing agenda. This is a perfect opportunity for a marketer that is passionate about natural brands to make a big impact on our growth agenda.Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Category StrategyLeads Category vision and long-term growth plan, inspiring motivating cross functional team to deliver Develops/evolves strategy of assigned brand(s), including brand foundations, brand architecture, and innovation strategyLeads team to conduct situation assessments to inform annual planningDevelops pricing / portfolio architectureUses deep understanding of consumer insights to guide decisionsBusiness & Marketing AnalysisOwns the category P&L and provides recommendations to achieve financial goalsLeads team to manage the brand forecast(s) via IBP/S&OP process, with input from sales, demand planning, operationsLeads team to analyze & report on current business and brand performance using internal and syndicated quantitative data, and translates implications into plans and forecastIdentifies key competitive and category trends and makes recommendations to win in marketOwns marketing budget for assigned categoryBrand EquityLeads team to develop and execute highly effective and cost-efficient integrated consumer and shopper marketing campaignsProvides oversight to integrated agency team Develop social media strategy and content creation via internal partners and/or external agenciesCommercial LeadershipDetermines channel strategy and implements distribution plans in partnership with Sales and OperationsDevelops pricing and trade promotion strategies in collaboration with Trade Marketing / Sales / FinanceNew and Current Product DevelopmentDevelop innovation strategy and pipelinePartners with Innovation and R&D team to generate new and on-trend product ideas that help drive the brand growth agenda and meet financial targets.Leads cross functional team to deliver excellence in execution on all innovation & renovation projects via established commercialization process and stage gate governance.Collaborates with Sales, Operations and Finance to develop cost structure to meet brand margin and P&L targetsManages packing design and ensures brand consistency in collaboration with Quality and R&DMarketing & Customer PresentationsSupervises the development of and presents sales materials and marketing presentations to internal sales teams & key customers in support of sales channel activitiesActs as Company representative for assigned Sales and Retailer brand meetingsMinimum Requirements:Minimum ten years' experience in a consumer-packaged goods brand management role or related capacity, across both blue-chip CPG and smaller/entrepreneurial companiesSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, MBA preferred or equivalentKnowledge of the Consumer Product Goods Industry, with understanding of assigned market inclusive of trends, customers, competition, etc.Experience with AC Nielsen, Circana and/or SPINS Experience leading integrated business planning / S&OP processExperience analyzing data & translating to recommendationsAbility to monitor budgets and report on P/L activity Experience launching new productsDemonstrated project management and leadership skillsExcellent creative instincts and comfort with visual designPrevious demonstration of managing marketing mix including digital, social, and shopper marketingExperience managing and developing direct reportsExperience managing external agenciesExcellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to detailComputer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPointStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectivelySelf-motivated and strong analytical / problem solving skills.Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areasAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityCompensation and Benefits:$175,000-$210,000 / year USD (commensurate with experience and location)Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision CoverageFlexible spending accountsDisability coverageLife insuranceCritical illness and accident insuranceLegal and identity protection insurancePet insuranceEmployee assistance programCommuter benefitsTuition assistanceAdoption assistance401(k)PTOParental Leave
