Nursing Administrator - Director of Patient ServicesLocation: Fairfax, VASalary: $100,000-$130,000 annually (with potential for bonus)Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm (+on call shifts to support clinical team)Insight Global is hiring for a Nursing Administrator to oversee Patient Care Administration for a client based in Fairfax, VA. This individual will oversee a clinical team that includes team managers, bereavement coordinators, and volunteers. They will serve as the clinical visionary, supporting at a higher level to ensure that clinical quality standards are met, and that the clinical team is both developed and supported in providing quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have previous clinical experience in long term care and/or hospice, as well as experience in leadership and fiscal management.Must Haves:Active RN License4 years of healthcare management experienceFiscal and Budget experiencePlusses:BSNHome Health, Hospice, and/or Long-term care experienceDay to Day: Assures that the mission, philosophy and values of the organization are upheld in the delivery of patient care servicesEnsures that Hospice care is provided to the ultimate satisfaction of patients and their familiesActively collaborates with Team Manager(s), Medical Director, and Admissions Department on clinically complex casesWorks in collaboration with the Admissions Manager to ensure patient care resources are available for pending admissionsActs as a clinical resource in collaboration with the Medical DirectorWorks in collaboration with the Medical Director and the Senior Management team regarding the process for all alive discharges in the programOversee the program clinical operations staff adherence to policies, procedures, and standardsStaff Supervision and ManagementResponsible for the oversight of hiring, training, supervising, coaching and mentoring of clinical operations staffInterviews, hires, supervises, mentors and evaluates the performance of direct reportsOversee and participate as needed in counseling and termination of clinical operations staffFacilitates and participates in regular meetings with direct clinical operations leadership teamRecurring individual mentoring meetings with direct reports onsite and in the fieldEnsures that the clinical managers are efficiently managing resources to meet patient and family needsAssume responsibility of program management roles as neededIdentify potential key leaders and mentor for career successionParticipates as a mentor for orientation and ongoing developmentQuality Improvement/Regulatory ComplianceCollaborates with senior management, direct reports, performance improvement specialist, and other programs in identification of trends, and potential Performance Improvement Plans as well as participating in and providing overall direction for clinical Performance Improvement PlansEnsures all program-required audits are completedCollaborates with Medical Records Claims Review Team for external audits and records requests, to ensure timely and accurate submission of requested documentationProactively prepares for potential internal and external surveys, assuring compliance with policies, procedures, standards, Federal, State and local regulations are followedActively participates in internal and external committees relevant to the programCustomer Service/Sales and MarketingWorks in conjunction with program management in identifying referral sources and additional educational requestsActively participates in sales/admissions meetingsEnsures that patient/family grievances are resolved timely and satisfactorilyEnsures proactive customer service and process/standards are followedFosters relationship with external customers, referral sources, and regulatory personnel including soliciting feedbackParticipates in community functions and professional organization as requiredWorks in collaboration with the senior management team to foster employee satisfactionResource ManagementIdentifies opportunities in resource management and utilization by oversight and review of clinical operations including but not limited to labor, pharmacy, medical supplies, equipment and mileageUtilizes trend reports, dashboards, income statements, financials and other reports to identify trends and opportunities for Performance Improvement PlansResponsible for development and implementation of Action Plans associated with identified areas of improvementCollaborates with senior management
