As a Quality Assurance Engineer at PRL, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products. You will lead our quality assurance efforts, ensuring compliance with ASME codes and Military standards. This is not a remote position.Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for executing a variety of professional and technical assignments in the Quality Assurance department. You will support the performance of contract review, corrective action investigations, and inspections to ensure compliance with ASME codes and Military standards.Job Qualifications:Education: Formal post-secondary education preferred, such as an AS or BS degree in metallurgy, quality, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.Experience: 5-7 years of professional related experience working in the quality department in an engineering capacity within a manufacturing environment.Skills: Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Perform duties as set forth in various PRL procedures and work instructions.Review customer P.O. requirements and develop detailed action plans, including execution of welding, NDT, dimensional inspection, heat treatment, and welding.Analyze potential inspection process and equipment upgrades to improve quality reliability and productivity.Perform internal and external audits to ASME and Military compliance standards.Review and approve dimensional inspection records for acceptability.Perform root cause analysis to understand modes of failure and execute preventative action and mistake-proofing operations.Develop quality requirements for subcontracted outside services.Join us at PRL and help shape the future of precision castings for our nation's defense.
