Brief DescriptionThe Pre- Pack, position in the Fresh Department is responsible for packing produce items to be picked and ensuring that produce items being packed are of excellent quality.Responsibilities:Processing, producing items that are to be pre-packedEnsuring that products being packed are of excellent qualitySafe Food Practices specific to departmentAssist in housekeeping of the departmentMaintain excellent safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity standards within the distribution warehouseMaintain a team player mentality by assisting others when the need arisesEducation and Qualifications:Must be customer focused.Must be passionate about quality.Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)Must be able to work holidays.Must be able to start overnight or early morning hours (start times vary by department)Must be comfortable in a warehouse/production environmentAbility to meet production and accuracy standards in a fast-paced work environment.Able to stand and walk for long period of timesAbility to push, pull, squat, twist, kneel, reach, turn and bendAbility to lift a minimum of 40lbs intermittently during a typical work shiftComfortable and able to work an 8-12hr shift (hours per day are based on business need)Must be able to stand for the majority of your shiftAbility to work in a climate of 35 and 70 degrees.Required to wear oil and slip-resistant shoesMust embody and demonstrate company values and cultureWho is FreshDirect:FreshDirect is the northeast's leading online fresh food grocer, delivering directly to customers throughout seven states, including the New York City, Philadelphia, and District of Columbia metropolitan areas.
