As a company formed by the Yurok Tribe's Prey-go-neesh (California Condor) Board, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality construction projects with precision, maintaining strong relationships, and consistently meeting time and budget requirements.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead complex government construction projects from inception to completion in the Sacramento area. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in general contracting operations, including managing subcontractors, coordinating trades, and overseeing all aspects of construction project delivery. Additionally, they should possess a strong background in government contracting with a proven track record of successful project delivery in both sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of general contracting principles, construction methodologies, and government procurement processes.Key ResponsibilitiesManage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with government contracts, specifications, and regulationsDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plansCoordinate with government agency representatives, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team membersOversee project documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and change ordersImplement and maintain quality control programsConduct regular site visits and progress meetingsMonitor and report on project performance metricsManage project risk and develop mitigation strategiesMay mentor and supervise project team membersRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred5-7 years of experience managing government construction projectsProven track record of completing projects on time and within budgetStrong understanding of government contracting proceduresExperience with project management software and MS Office SuiteValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sitesStrong leadership and communication skillsExcellent problem-solving and organizational abilitiesGovernmental Background ClearancePreferred QualificationsPMP CertificationExperience working with government entitiesKnowledge of 8(a) program requirementsOSHA 30-hour certification, OSHA 40, and EM 385Experience with sustainability and environmental compliance in constructionBenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesWorking ConditionsMix of office and field work environmentTravel to project sites requiredMust be able to walk construction sites and climb laddersMust be able to wear required PPEHow to ApplyQualified candidates should submit their resume, cover letter, and references to n.clark@Per-geesh Construction complies with all applicable federal, state, and tribal employment laws and regulations.
