Top candidates will utilize their technical expertise and savvy communication skills to take initiative in making decisions both within and outside established procedures and guidelines.Key ResponsibilitiesManages costs/risks and maintains gross margins for assigned projects, proposals and studiesResponsible for control and execution of an assigned project or project area within schedule and budgetCoordinates activities between all disciplinesSupports business development by developing scope of work, schedule, and work hours for assigned proposalsMain client contact within business group after project award through plant acceptanceCoordinates plant check-out, commissioning, troubleshooting and plant modificationsResponsible for central filing and follow-up activities for each assigned project or studyIssues project job instructions, develops project schedule and issues job quality plan when applicableInfluential or persuasive communication that convinces others to accept ideas put forth, both internal and externalUses diverse approaches to develop criteria for making high quality decisions in the absence of a definitive frameworkOrganizes and leads complex projects that have a significant impact on the companyUses, promotes and advances the principles of Quality as an integral part of the work processMinimum Requirements: B.S. in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering10+ years of direct experience managing major O&G or Petrochemical projects is required.5+ years of experience managing licensing projects is required. 5+ demonstrated professional understanding of chemical process technologies Solid knowledge of engineering disciplinesWorking knowledge of industry specifications and standardsStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skillsAbility to communicate effectively (verbal and written, internal and external) in EnglishAbility to plan and schedule the work effort for a project team, conduct meetings, and meet milestones/deadlinesAbility to direct all phases of a projectBasic knowledge of detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up activitiesSolid understanding of process technologiesCustomer focusedUnderstanding of cost aspects of a projectBasic familiarity with typical contractual terms and conditionsAble negotiatorAbility to work independently in areas of responsibilityAbility and willingness to travel (domestic / international -20%-30%)Flexible approach to workWith a heritage spanning more than 115 years and a focus on innovation that has resulted in more than 140 technologies and 4,100 patents, Lummus is the global leader in the development and implementation of process technologies that make modern life possible.
