SummaryThe Digital Shelf Specialist is responsible for ensuring an optimal, seamless, and engaging online product experience across all digital platforms. This role focuses on the accurate representation of product content, imagery, and data, ensuring that customers can easily find, understand, and purchase products through a user-friendly digital experience. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Digital Shelf Specialist drives product visibility, enhances search functionality, and supports the overall e-commerce strategy to increase conversions and customer satisfaction.This position plays a critical role in maintaining Wakefern's digital shelf standards, leveraging insights to optimize product listings, and supporting the continuous growth of the online shopping experienceEssential Functions Drive omni-channel sales growth by executing and enhancing the end-to-end digital shelf experience and product findability for the assigned category. Manage product-related assets across six banners using the CMS tool, ensuring consistency and accuracy.Develop and implement strategies for taxonomy and search optimization to improve discoverability and sales.Analyze & monitor key performance metrics to identify successful tactics, linking actions to measurable business outcomes. Identify opportunities for automation to enhance speed-to-market and content accuracy.Syndicate product content from Brandbank, internal systems, Syndigo, and other partners, including managing packaging refreshes, brand updates, and content optimizations.Ensure accurate product data mapping and collaborate with tech teams on system changes and enhancements.Perform daily content audits to ensure readiness and accuracy across digital platforms.Troubleshoot and resolve product content issues, managing tickets with Brandbank and other partners.Engage and Educate Category Managers and vendor partners on self-service opportunities. Develop and distribute product content scorecards to track performance and ensure ongoing optimization.Category Breakdown: Meat, Seafood, & BakeryAppy, Food Service, Produce, & Floral Grocery & Specialty GroceryHBC, Non-Foods, Baby & PetDairy, Frozen & Circular Auditing Additional Functions Process & categorize new or updated products. Own and execute all elements related to product launch & discoverability across platforms including, but not limited to, set up of keywords and synonyms, addition to and modification of taxonomy, processing of images and content.Force items to the site to support promotional activity and marketing initiatives Perform a weekly audit of assigned category content to ensure accuracy (images, descriptions, metadata, etc.).Update product information, assets, and content for assigned categories within the various tools.Ensure that product data is properly mapped and aligned with taxonomy standards & shifting consumer trends.Identify opportunities to optimize product placement & contentMonitor performance metrics such as conversion rates, share of search, and organic traffic.Understand technical and backend systems that support product flow to the site.Analyze any shifts or anomalies and flag areas that need attention or improvement.Collaborate with tech teams on product data enhancements or tool improvements.Collect category performance data, analyze and prepare reports with actionable insights to inform content or promotional adjustments.Communicate with vendors and internal teams (category managers, marketing, etc.) regarding product content needs, updates, and feedback.Identify and document areas for process improvement or automation.Troubleshoot product content issues, mapping and system-related issues & follow up on open tickets with appropriate partiesQualifications Bachelor degree required2-3 years or experience in a similar digital roleExceptional ability to multi-task with attention to detailAbility to identify problems and implement appropriate solutions.Ability to interact with associates at various levels and CPG partners independentlyMust have incredible attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, time management skills, and organizational skills.Demonstrate understanding of best practices in Content Creation, Digital Asset ManagementComputer proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
