Production Planner II Petaluma, CA 9 Month Contract to startSummary:The Production Planner II coordinates production activities to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of goods while meeting quality standards. This role involves collaboration with managers, supervisors, and customer service to align planning with manufacturing needs. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving, with knowledge of production processes and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Release and prioritize production requests to meet order deadlines.Coordinate customer orders with production, quality, and shipping teams.Track and update order statuses from receipt to shipment, ensuring smooth product flow through manufacturing.Schedule shipments and manage weekly shipping lists in collaboration with customer service and logistics teams.Act as a liaison between production and QA to ensure timely batch release.Identify and implement process improvements for production planning activities.Determine personnel, equipment, and raw material needs and communicate requirements to relevant managers.Monitor inventory levels of critical products and raw materials.Adhere to company policies and safety protocols.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience.Preferred certifications: CPIM or APICS.Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and tools like FileMaker and IFS.Strong understanding of production planning and quality control principles.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.Experience with hazardous materials and safety compliance is a plus.
