Job Title: Business Operations & Administration InternLocation: Los Angeles, CA (in-person required)About TransAstra: TransAstra is a pioneering space technology company located in the San Fernando Valley dedicated to advancing the frontiers of space exploration. As part of our team, you will contribute and support the business operations and administration team.Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Business Operations & Administration Intern to join our team at TransAstra. This part-time, in-person role requires 10-20 hours per week and is ideally suited for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to gain comprehensive hands-on experience in various facets of business operations & administration. We are looking to fill this position immediately and are committed to accommodating your academic schedule and commitments.Key Responsibilities:Assist in daily office and administrative tasks to support business operations.Actively maintain and contribute to the refinement and enhancement of operational proceduresPerform bookkeeping, record keeping, and basic financial analysis.Manage lab inventory, ensuring equipment and supplies are accounted for and organized.Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases to track important data.Handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.Other ad-hoc tasks as needed.Qualifications:Current enrollment in an undergraduate program. Preferred majors include Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related fields, but all majors are encouraged to apply.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.High level of discretion and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.A proactive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.Interest in space technology and eagerness to learn about the industry.Nice to Have:Familiarity with Apple iWork.Familiarity with basic accounting concepts.Familiarity with basic IT & networking concepts.Familiarity with QuickBooks.What We Offer:A unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the aerospace sector.Exposure to the operations and administrative functions of a tech company, including direct interaction with C-suite executives.An entry-level role to gain experience in multiple domains.Flexible working hours to accommodate academic commitments.A supportive and innovative team environment.Application Process: Interested candidates should submit a resume and explain their interest in the position.
