We are seeking a detail-oriented and approachable Part-Time HR Generalist to join our busy pediatric practice. The HR Generalist will support day-to-day human resources functions, helping us maintain a positive and compliant work environment while ensuring the smooth operation of our HR processes. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys working in a healthcare setting and is passionate about supporting pediatric care teams and fostering a great workplace culture.Key Responsibilities:Recruitment & StaffingAssist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews for various roles, including medical and administrative staff.Conduct reference checks and prepare job offers.Onboarding & OrientationOversee new employee onboarding, including processing paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all HR compliance requirements are met.Provide guidance to new employees on policies, procedures, and benefits.Employee RelationsServe as a point of contact for employees' HR-related inquiries and concerns.Assist in resolving employee issues, facilitating conflict resolution, and promoting a positive workplace culture.Compliance & DocumentationMaintain and update employee files, ensuring compliance with healthcare-specific regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for audits, regulatory inspections, and internal reviews.Benefits AdministrationAssist employees with benefits enrollment and questions, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.Help track and report on benefits usage and make sure employees are aware of their entitlements.Training & DevelopmentAssist with the coordination of ongoing training, including compliance training, customer service, and specialized pediatric care workshops.Track employee certifications and continuing education requirements.Payroll ManagementManage day to day payroll-related issues, including timekeeping, vacation accrual, process bi-weekly payroll, and working with employees to ensure accurate data entry.Schedule Coordination:Responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of the nursing and front desk staff, ensuring that appropriate coverage of daily duties is accounted for.HR Projects & ImprovementAssist in implementing HR initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, retention, and overall practice efficiency.Participate in surveys, data collection, and analyses to help enhance the practice's HR processes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred3+ years of experience in an HR generalist role, preferably in a healthcare or pediatric setting.Knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and healthcare-specific regulations (HIPAA, OSHA).SHRM Certified Practitioner preferred Experience with HR software and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on confidentiality and discretion.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Compassionate and empathetic attitude, with the ability to foster a positive workplace culture.Additional Information:30 hours/ wk, benefits eligiblePosition is IN OFFICE, not remoteWe operate in EPIC as our electronic medical record, experience is encouraged but not requiredOpportunities for growth and professional development within a collaborative team.Competitive compensation based on experience.If you are a motivated HR professional passionate about pediatric healthcare and looking for a part-time role in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply!
