Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth LLP is a leading business law firm with more than 110 lawyers providing experienced counsel in critical transactions and disputes from 12 offices across California, Colorado, Nevada, Texas and Washington.Overall PurposeAnswers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to the firm's policies, timesheets/paid time off, hiring processes, etc.Coordinates new hire orientations by developing agenda, conducts human resources session of orientation, collects new hire documentation, and ensures new hire questions are answeredAssists with the 90-day and annual performance evaluation process for support staffProvides full lifecycle recruiting support for support staff, including job postings, sources candidates via resume submissions, schedules interviews, prepares offer letters, initiates and monitors background checksCoordinates and tracks mandatory training such as Harassment, Discrimination & Retaliation Prevention to ensure state complianceAssists with firm and HR initiatives including, but not limited to, Staff Appreciation Week, Holiday Party, summer events, and monthly social hoursSets up and maintains confidential HR filesCoordinates secretarial overflow assistance as neededPrepares monthly expense reports for CHRO, CTO, CFO, and Accounting ManagerCreates and sends monthly HR NewsletterAccounting/PayrollReviews hourly support staff timesheets for accuracy and compliance with firm policiesAssists CFO with administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, updating files and bindersDistributes annual Cash Balance Plan Notices to attorneysAssists with Umbrella Insurance coverage for participating PartnersSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Some experience in an office environment, preferably in an administrative, HR, or recruiting roleExcellent written, verbal, and listening communication skillsOutstanding customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential information appropriatelyStrong administrative, and organizational skills, consistent attention to detail, and accuracyMust be a team player, be flexible, and be a good listener with a high level of patienceAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentAbility to multi-task and prioritize workloadStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookMust be able to communicate effectively via emails, letters, and phone with all firm-wide employees in a professional and diplomatic mannerQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree preferredAt least one year of HR experience preferredPhysical DemandLifting up to 25 pounds; kneeling, bending, and lifting required. Typing/sitting at a desk for long durations at a time; walking of company floors to attend to business mattes in various departments.The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is from $47,000 - $54,000 annually and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of base salary at the time of posting.
