Senior Commercial Litigation Associate AttorneyThis opportunity is presented by Friday Services, the trusted staffing partner for leading law firms, seeking highly qualified legal professionals to propel their growth and expansion.Overview:We are supporting the search for an Am Law client with a firm culture that is centered around career growth and mentorship. They are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join their thriving litigation practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing and resolving complex commercial disputes and be able to navigate the intricacies of both state and federal litigation processes. This role requires an attorney who is initiative-taking, client-focused, and able to effectively manage a caseload while collaborating with senior partners and clients.Key Responsibilities:Litigation Management: Represent clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including but not limited to breach of contract, shareholder disputes, business torts, fraud, and real estate litigation.Case Strategy & Development: Develop and implement case strategies, including managing discovery, depositions, motions, and pre-trial preparation. Collaborate with clients to set objectives and achieve favorable outcomes.Court Appearances: Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Represent clients at hearings, arbitrations, and trials.Client Relations: Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing strategic advice and updates on case progress. Function as the primary point of contact for clients.Legal Research & Writing: Conduct thorough legal research and provide well-reasoned legal analyses. Draft clear, persuasive legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior attorneys and colleagues on complex cases, sharing knowledge and helping with training or mentoring junior associates.Settlement Negotiations: Engage in settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes where applicable. Advocate for clients to achieve favorable settlements when possible.Billing & Time Management: Track and bill time accurately and efficiently in accordance with firm policies and client guidelines.Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active and in good standing with the State of New Jersey bar.4+ years of commercial litigation experience, with significant exposure to complex business disputes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly to clients and opposing counsel.Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines.Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a demanding environment.Experience with electronic discovery tools, case management software, and legal research platforms.Trial experience preferred, though not required.Desired Skills:Experience in industries such as finance, real estate, or manufacturing is a plus.Knowledge of specific practice areas such as securities law, antitrust, class actions, or intellectual property is advantageous.Strong negotiation and settlement skills.Client-oriented approach with excellent interpersonal skills.Academic excellence.Superior verbal and written communication.Benefits:Competitive salary and bonus structure.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.Retirement plan and paid time off.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.Supportive and collaborative work environment.If you are an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney looking to take the next step in your career and work on challenging, high stakes matters, we encourage you to apply.Apply in confidence online or send your resume to: peaveym@ Have questions?
