We are seeking a Medical Record Coordinator to join our team and handle the day-to-day responsibilities of opening claims, securing medical records, and ensuring complete documentation for all cases.Position Overview:The Medical Record Coordinator will be responsible for handling medical record requests, coordinating with hospitals and medical providers, and ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and reviewed. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, experience in medical records management, and pre-litigation experience specifically within a personal injury law firmKey Responsibilities:Open new claims and coordinate with medical providers to secure all relevant medical records and bills.Follow up with hospitals, clinics, and other providers to obtain missing documentation.Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all necessary information is included for case management.Maintain organized files of medical records and ensure easy access for attorneys and case managers.Communicate with team members to provide updates on the status of medical record requests.Assist with resolving discrepancies or issues related to medical record documentation.Collaborate with the Medical Record Lead Trainer to implement best practices and streamline processes.Qualifications:Experience:Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical records management or a related field.Pre-litigation experience in a personal injury law firm is required.Familiarity with medical terminology and legal documentation is preferred.Skills:Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent communication skills for coordinating with medical providers and internal teams.Proficiency in record management systems and tools.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Education:High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in medical records or healthcare administration is a plus.Why Join Us?Competitive salary of $52,000-$62,000, based on experience.Opportunity to contribute to critical case management processes.Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment dedicated to client success.
