For more information about Sungrow, visit: .The Position:We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team and drive the implementation of Sungrow's security initiatives. This role focuses on executing the company's cybersecurity strategy by deploying tools, establishing processes, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical expertise, support IT operations, and ensure security measures align with Sungrow's goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Tool Deployment and Management:· Implement and manage security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, CSPM, and DLP.· Ensure tools are configured to support Sungrow's security posture and operational goals.· Optimize and maintain security technologies to address evolving threats and risks.Process Execution:· Identify, establish and operationalize processes for incident response, vulnerability management, and access controls.· Document security workflows, procedures, and playbooks for team use.· Regularly review and improve processes to align with best practices and compliance requirements.Security Operations:· Respond to and investigate security incidents, escalated from other team members as needed.· Collaborate with IT to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure secure system configurations.· Perform routine monitoring and audits of security controls to ensure effectiveness.Team Collaboration and Mentorship:· Work closely with IT staff to integrate security practices into daily operations.· Provide guidance and training to junior team members and IT staff on security tools and processes.· Support cross-team efforts to align IT and security strategies.Collaboration on Strategic Initiatives:· Provide feedback on operational challenges and opportunities to refine Sungrow's security strategy.· Assist in reporting security metrics and progress to leadership.· Stay tuned into releases on new compliance frameworks and initiatives.Compliance and Risk Mitigation:· Support compliance efforts with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2.· Conduct technical assessments of third-party vendors and their security capabilities.· Assist in maintaining procurement processes and vendor risk management procedures.Minimum Requirements:· 5-7 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or IT, with a focus on implementing security tools and processes.· Expertise in deploying and managing tools such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, CSPM, and vulnerability management.· Solid understanding of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST.· Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing security challenges.· Familiarity with IT operations, including network security, system administration, and access management.· Keen understanding of Zero-Trust, Least Privilege, and respective controls.Education or Desired License and Certificates:· Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.· Relevant certifications such as but not limited to CySA+, CASP, or CISSP are strongly preferred.Competencies· Detail-oriented with strong technical and operational skills.· Effective communicator and collaborator, capable of working across teams.· Proactive, resourceful, and focused on delivering results.· Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.TravelUp to 10%Work Location and Status:· Full-time position, on-site.· Based in Costa Mesa, California· No visa sponsorshipCompensation:· Comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.· Opportunity for growthSungrow is an equal opportunity employer.
