Operations Manager, Casting

Primary Purpose:The Operations Manager provides the necessary leadership to manage all operational aspects of the Casting business unit. This position is responsible for coordinating safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and continuous improvement for the Casting stream.Key AccountabilitiesReports directly to the Casting APU ManagerCoordinates activities to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly operating results for all production KPI'sEnsures the Operations Team's participation in all EHS processes as they apply to day-to-day activitiesSupports critical safety aspects including hourly employee safety performance & operation of equipment to standard practices for safe operation.Supports key process and reliability functions through ownership of critical process input variables.Ensures personal commitment to company policies, procedures, and regulationsLeads in the Constellium "Manufacturing Excellence" context specifically driving...Workplace 5SStandard Operating Procedure development and executionDaily, weekly & monthly standard & performance management routinesWorkshops to drive improvement in areas of responsibilityLeads managers and supervisors to maximize operating team performanceCoordinates daily, weekly, and monthly with Process, Operations, Reliability, & Supply Chain support resources to execute planned and unplanned activities with minimum disruption to daily operations.Other items as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's degree requiredExperience in lieu of formal education will be considered in extraordinary circumstances10 years of industry supervisory experience with at least 2-3 years in the aluminum industry specificallyLean manufacturing and/or Lean Six Sigma knowledge & experience requiredStrong leadership and communication skills requiredAbility to manage in a union environment while maintaining compliance and productivity About Constellium:Constellium's plant in Ravenswood, West Virginia, is one of the world's largest rolled products facilities, with over 1,200 employees.
